Each year we participate in the Anne Arundel County “Back to School Supply Drive” providing school supplies for AAC grade school children who are in need of assistance.
Members of our church family receive the names of
individual children who attend the elementary school near our church, and need help with their school supplies. Their teachers provide the list of needed items, and we bring the backpacks to their school, each one carrying that child’s name, to celebrate their first day back to class in the fall.
Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.” (Luke 9:48)
